KAMLOOPS’ EXCEED ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING COMES FORWARD WITH A $60,000 GIFT TO THE ROYAL INLAND HOSPITAL FOUNDATION TOGETHER WE RISE CAMPAIGN
Kamloops B.C. – The Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) Foundation has been the gracious recipient of a $60,000 gift by Exceed Electrical Engineering (Exceed) to the Together We Rise Campaign. This gift will promote the ongoing metamorphosis of our regional hospital through the purchase of priority equipment for the Phil & Jennie Gaglardi Tower and in the existing hospital space.
“We at Exceed are honoured to be giving back to the community in which we work and live.Whether it is here in Kamloops where we are located or out in the communities we serve, there is no greater gift than that of helping others”, shared Joshua Laye, P.ENG., Exceed Project Engineer.
Based in Kamloops, BC, Exceed offers a multi-disciplinary team that provides professional engineering service for electrical systems for clients across Canada. Services offered include control system design, industrial networking, electrical distribution and industrial security offering our own secure cloud (ESC).
Exceed’s community involvement goes beyond their scope of professional reach – giving is outlined in their business plan to keep them accountable. The company has committed, through a written obligation, to give 10% of their revenues back to the community. Their gift to the RIH Foundation is them acting on that promise and they hope that the proceeds will make a difference locally – and beyond.
“We follow in the footsteps of so many other great businesses in Kamloops that consistently give back to our city and we hope that we can encourage other small companies to do the same”, shared Laye. “Every little bit helps and surrounding ourselves with good people, we will likely strive to be good people. So if we have a business community in Kamloops that is generous and gives back, we are likely to be individually generous and want to give back as well”.
As a result of this corporate commitment that keeps Exceed accountable to their community-minded promise, the company has set aside over $10,000 worth of cash as charitable donations in their first year of operations in 2019. This number continues to grow, and the RIH Foundation couldn’t be more thrilled knowing that this gift will go a long way in making a difference locally!
“It’s so heartwarming to be contacted by a local company in Kamloops such as Exceed Electrical Engineering, only a few years into their tenure as a business and to be presented with such a generous gift”, said Heidi Coleman, RIH Foundation President & CEO. “The entire RIH Foundation Board, Cabinet, Staff and volunteers are inspired by the momentum of giving in our community. We can only reach these heights through a common goal – the goal to continually support our medical staff, buying them the equipment they need and supporting them as they continue to provide excellent patient care especially in these difficult times”.
