ICCHA/WISH FUND CELEBRATES $500,000 MILESTONE
It was a milestone year for the Iccha/Wish Fund as they hit the half a million dollar mark for their total funds raised for Royal Inland Hospital. As Al Patel, the Founder of Iccha/Wish says, “Back in 2007, we started the fund to make improvements to the health of our community – never imagining that 10 years later we would have made a difference to so many different areas of our hospital. We are grateful to our many generous supporters who have joined us in our cause.”
Most recently, Iccha/Wish raised funds for a portable ultrasound to be used for a number of antenatal (during pregnancy) procedures and for educational purposes. This ultrasound will both free up diagnostic imagining resources at RIH and help to further expand professional development opportunities in Kamloops – critical in the education of UBC students and residents, and in helping with physician recruitment. We are grateful to all of the Iccha/Wish Fund supporters who are making such a positive impact at our hospital.
