This is your chance to double your impact for those who need it most, like Samantha O’Callaghan, local paramedic, entrepreneur and owner of Zaaz Eatery and Play. 

Samantha’s journey began when she was only eight years old, after her first sudden cardiac arrest. For years, unexplained episodes followed, until she was diagnosed with sudden arrhythmia death syndrome (SADS)—a condition that stops her heart unpredictably. When Samantha was 23, she was told she also had a complete heart block but thanks to RIH cardiologist, Dr. Shawn Pun and the incredible team at RIH, Samantha received a pacemaker that drastically helped her condition. In 2020, RIH cardiologist, Dr. Suman Dhesi diagnosed her with supraventricular tachycardia syndrome resulting in a life-changing cardiac ablation procedure, enabling her to thrive as a business owner and a proud mom of three.
