Staff Give Back

The amazing health care team and staff at RIH not only provide exceptional patient care, they also give back to the hospital in a variety of ways. In 2016, the Foundation in partnership with the local United Way created a new workplace campaign called “Royally United.” Staff at RIH were encouraged to support the campaign by signing up to make contributions to the campaign through payroll deductions. All donations collected will support priority needs and staff education at RIH and United Way programs that promote healthy living. The Stollery Charitable Foundation kindly provided a matching gift to the RIH Foundation and United Way to help kick off this new campaign and encourage staff to join.

The Foundation is grateful to the support of the RIH staff who continues to make the hospital lottery a huge success! The lottery is a 50/50 style draw held in the cafeteria every 2 weeks with jackpots reaching as much as $3,400 in recent months. Started by the Evening Auxiliary and handed over to the Foundation in 2015, the staff lottery raised over $65,000 last year in support of patient care equipment.
